Preservation of biodiversity of the genus Hedera L. in the Nikita botanical garden

Representatives of the genus Hedera L. have been cultivated in Nikitsky Botanical Gardens over two centuries. The inventory collection has revealed thirty five species, cultivars, and forms, including four relics cultivation – H. helix 'Angularis', 'Rugosa', 'Cavendishii', hibernica 'Scutifolia'. presence three thirty-two cultivars forms belonging to which species varieties reached generative stage twenty-six are at juvenile stage, established. There seven nine garden groups collection. Within morpho-decorative characteristics, identified terms color leaf blade: monochromatic green (twenty-four forms); variegated (eight there white-spotted one yellow-spotted varieties). In type (multicolored), marginal, median, suffuse colors identified. shape blades, following among cultivars: finger-cut, rounded-reniform, ovate-elongated, irregularly asymmetric. growth most proved be plagiotropic; yet with orthotropic also found (in our collection, this is 'Conglomerata').
